The New CD-Rchive2

Version 2.0.3 for Linux (c) MGWare 2000-2005

CD-Rchive2 is a complete re-vamp of the popular but now aged CD-Rchive program.

Changes to linux kernels from 2.4 to 2.6 had rendered its reliance upon native SCSI or scsi-ide emulation obsolete.

It is intended to be used with cdrecord-ProDVD, cdda2wav and mkisofs for the production of data and music CD's and data DVD's.

Built in tools will allow cloning of a complete CD or DVD and writing copies.

A Boot Wizard will guide you through steps required to make a bootable CD or DVD, write the code and compile a binary menu program which runs with isolinux.

The familiar interface has been retained largely. All output is displayed real time in the browser and there are comprehensive help pages available

All settings are retained in a config file and after initial setting up, making an image and burning it is just a few mouse clicks.

2 important points:-

1) CD-Rchive2 uses the QT 3 libraries

You will need the correct libraries to compile or run the binary you can download them direct from TrollTech
or from various mirrors or go to your distributors site for a pre-built package ( .rpm .deb whatever ).

2)   ------PLEASE READ THE FILE "README" ------------

The make process is controlled by a script called MAKEandINSTALL in the source root directory.

This uses qmake to create a Makefile based upon your system configuration. It appears a more stable method of installation than previously and allows for the checking of your system for old files from the previous cdrchive program which would interfere with config file settings
