These are usually held on Friday evenings, roughly once a month. They take various forms, but usually involve either a
Members Evening - to which non-members are usually also invited, at which a one-act play is performed, and followed by a buffet get-together, aimed to no little extent at persuading non-members to become active members!
Rehearsed Play Reading - involving members reading from scripts, but with some movement (and costume, where appropriate!) with limited scenery and props.
Visits - members meet at a particular venue, e.g. Botanic Gardens, Crook Hall, and are usually indulged in a special tour/demonstration by the appropriate management staff.
Karioke/Country Dancing - are arranged about three times a year, usually at Kimblesworth, near Durham. Refreshments and supper are provided.
