Here Comes the Rain
After a bright start we have had a very wet late May - 38mm of rain in the last week in Duffield. Hopefully the concert season will see much better weather, especially for the bandstand concerts at Belper River Gardens and Buxton.
By popular demand the Band has arranged to put on Derby's own "Last Night of the Proms" which will be held
in the very attractive venue of the Queen's Hall on London Road, Derby on 21st July.
Tickets are available for £5.00 (£3.50 concessions) from Helen Newton in the band.
The concert is in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.

Introduction
The band meets at 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. on Monday evenings in the Concert Hall at the Ecclesbourne School Duffield, Derby. New members are welcome.
The beginners' band meets from 5:45 to 6:45 on Mondays in the Music Block at Ecclesbourne School.
The band has started its 2008 season at Ecclesbourne School. You are welcome to come and listen to a couple of practices or to bring along an instrument and join in to see how you like it - then if you enjoy playing with us, join the band.
We have played at many locations including Pavilion Gardens Buxton, Riverside Festival in Nottingham, Chatsworth, Sudbury Hall, Kedleston Hall, Nottingham Castle to name a few! You can see a list of recent and forthcoming concerts on the Events page.
