Ecclesfield Handbell Ringers

Centenary Open Day

Summer Concert

Ecclesfield Handbell Ringers are 100 years old!

To celebrate our centenary we are holding an Open Day and Summer Concert in the Gatty Hall, Ecclesfield, on Saturday July 17 2004.

The open day runs for 1:00 to 5:00 and all are welcome. Admission is completely free. We will have archive material on show, so if your ancestors were Ecclesfield ringers in the 20s, or 40s or even the 60s then come and have a look at the photos and other memorabilia on display. Better still, if you have any old material relating to the bell ringing, either the village team or the Ecclesfield School team, then why not bring it along?

You can have a go at ringing yourself, under the supervision of one of our experts (?!) and who knows, maybe youd even like to join the team? All are welcome.

The Summer Concert starts at 7:00 (doors open at 6:00) and we will have as our guests the Grenoside Male Voice Choir and the Wath All Saints Handbell Ringers (who use on loan the original set of Ecclesfield bells from the 1920s). Concert tickets are 5 for adults and 3 for concessions and are available: -
