These are Judith's recollections of her handbell ringing life.
(but she may have got the dates wrong, she says!)
A former pupil of Ecclesfield Grammar Scchool, but not a bellringer, I eventually picked up the handbell ringing bug in 1982 with Bolsterstone Handbells. I joined Ecclesfield in 1984. I worked my way up the ladder, starting in the 'A' team, then filling in nearly all the positions in the concert or 'B' team until I becme proficient enough to become a permanent member of the concert team as Bottom Tenor. I have played in this position ever since. I absolutely love handbell ringing and cannot imagine life without my weekly fix.
