How come I became involved with this lot: -

Well, at a concert with Ecclesfield HR and my son’s brass band I commented flippantly to one of the other parents that it would be interesting to have a go at ringing. She agreed and at the end of the concert informed me that my phone number was down on a list to be contacted later in the summer for a new beginners section.

Three new beginners attended the first week (incidentally she was not one of them), the second week only I turned up – and I’m still turning up so they can’t be such a bad crowd.
