ecocheck is an energy rating service for properties. It supports the requirements of Home Information Packs (HIP’s) and also energy ratings for landlords of rented accommodation.
ecocheck makes Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s) work for the benefit of the house-buyer, landlord or tenant to be able to make cost effective energy savings in their home.
The environmental benefit comes from reduced greenhouse gases from more efficient use of household energy.
ecocheck fees: Currently fixed at £95 (no VAT applicable) for a site visit and EPC.
What ecocheck will do for you: We will provide you with a site visit to determine the construction type and size of your property. We will look at any insulation present and what sort of heating systems are present for hot water and space heating. A typical site visit will take about an hour.
From this, ecocheck will input data on the energy performance of your property to a national database and generate your Energy Performance Certificate. Typical turnaround within 1 working day.
Who is ecocheck? Your Energy Assessor, Richard Thomas, was trained through the NHER (National Home Energy Ratings) scheme, gaining a Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment (Dip DEA) through ABBE (Awarding Body for the Built Environment) and is an accredited member of both NHER/SAVA (Accreditation. No. NHER001932) and Elmhurst Energy System (No. EES/002240).
