Edale Country Day is an event where the whole community works together, raising valuable funds to support Edale School and Village Hall.

Edale Country Day was set up to provide funds for Edale School at a time when it was threatened with closure. The threat of closure is thankfully no longer imminent, however funds help to provide so many additional items that make the learning experience at our school so more productive. As the school is no longer under immediate threat, half of the profits from the show go to the village hall in return for providing many of the facilities for the show.

Country Day attracts a wide variety of people, over 2,100 in 2008: locals, of course, but also British and overseas tourists, and other visitors who wish to experience the local country community.
