Welcome to Edgworth and District Horticultural Society

If you were unaware of our Society before reaching this site, perhaps it will arouse your interest to come to the Show or to one of our monthly meetings to find out more

Our meetings are held at 7:30pm in the Barlow Institute, Edgworth, (close to Bolton and Blackburn, Lancashire) on every 3rd Wednesday of most months. These feature interesting illustrated talks on a variety of gardening subjects or occasionally on broader nature topics.

We are pleased to see both members and non-members at all meetings and as visitors or exhibitors at our Village Show (click for info and photos). This is held annually on the third Saturday of August.
See our Newsletter on the Web site and the photo gallery of our garden visits to Ness Gardens in Autumn 2007 and to the Lake District Gardens at Ridal and Holehird this summer.

Our 4-day mini-holiday in 2007 touring gardens in the North East was a new venture and so successful that we organised another 4-day mini-holiday in 2008 this time to Somerset.

5- DAY HOLIDAY FOR 2009

Keep June 26th to 30th free - we are visiting NORMANDY GARDENS

Check out the details by clicking the link and email us to make a reservation.
