The retail prices of these books will vary according to the supplier. However, as they are concerned with a specialist topic you should not be surprised to find them a little pricey for their relative sizes. Nevertheless, some are worth acquiring.
Book List:
Scorpions, Keeping and Breeding them in Captivity
Author: Ann Webb, ISBN: 0793820669, Pages: 64, Publisher: T.F.H. Publications
Easy to read with some excellent photos.
Strong emphasis on safety when choosing which species to keep.
Includes indications of which species are available commercially in the U.K.
Scorpions, The Complete Pet Owner's Manual
Author: Manny Rubio, ISBN: 0764112244, Pages: 96, Publisher: Barron's (USA)
A useful starting point with some good photos & excellent general advice.
Disappointingly, it only mentions a few of the more common species and is also largely
aimed at the U.S. market. Nevertheless, a very useful book.
My copy contained a seriously dangerous misprint on page 44,
preceding the tables concerning species and their relative danger.
Hopefully, the error has since been corrected.
Scorpions, A Comprehensive Guide
Author: Kathleen Hancock, ISBN: 0951532472, Pages: 92, Publisher: (?)
(this book has gone out of print)
Scorpions, The Sneaky Stingers (Animals in Order)
Author: Allison Lassieur, ISBN: 0531164977, Pages: 48, Publisher: Franklin Watts
Easy to read with large print. Some good photos.
Suitable for a younger audience. Reasonably cheap purchase price.
Scorpions (Predators in the Wild)
Author: Adele D. Richardson, ISBN: 0736813187, Pages: 32, Publisher: Capstone High-Interest Books
A few good photos. Definitely aimed at a younger audience. Excessively over-priced considering it's such a small book (just 32 pages). I personally wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this book.
