This is one of planes which carries a 12mp digital camera. It is powered by 2 brushless electric motors and lithium polymer batteries which give it a flight time of up to 30min and make it whisper quiet in flight. The pictures on the right show how the under slung camera can be tilted to give a vertical to a 45 degree shot. Aiming of the plane/camera is aided by the use of a 2.4ghz video link so we can see what the camera sees. We are able to fly at a range of up to 1/2 mile using our home made receiving aerial but it dose require 2 people to operate it safely.

We are always in the process of improving this set up so by the time you read this it may have changed ! Some of the upgrades on the way are :

• Auto tracking aerial for greater operating range update
• Catapult launching ramp so we can take off from rough fields update
• UHF radio control link for safer long range operating update

There is also a new aircraft being built but it will be some time before it is ready for use as it will undergo a lot of testing and no doubt a few modifications. update
