The original designs are carved in plaster or clay, the detailing of each piece makes this a long process. A plaster mould can then be made from the original. The pots are carefully cast and hand finished, then painted with oxides and underglaze colours and covered with a clear, bright earthenware glaze.

Having recently moved to rural southwest Wales, Eliza has been inspired to design new pieces. She is working on a range featuring birds of both water and the air and maybe a few fairies or angels.

The Mermaid range has been in high demand since its creation, the teapot being particularly sought after since being featured in a specialist book about teapots by Tina Carter.
