The “Bluebell Fairy” painting could be construed as Angel Art for a dancing fairy appeared in the middle distance which Edward McNaught-Davis did not consciously put there. Edward  enjoys painting bluebell woodland scenes. Edward feels that the spirit of Claude Monet inspires him with his compositions of which many hours of work are taken to perfect each painting. Another favourite scene of Edward’s is to paint watercolor fall landscape paintings as shown in the picture entitled, “Autumn Red”. Acrylics are often used as watercolours. To Edward a  woodland is a haven in which to “escape” from everyday life. Find a nice spot and stay awhile and watch the detail of nature unfold its theatre. Capturing the natural light dancing on the foliage and upon the ground is Edward McNaught-Davis’ forte for you to enjoy. The “Two Trees at Llanina” painting also show bluebells on the woodland floor with the afternoon sun light bleaching their gentle blue hues. Other woodland paintings by Edward McNaught-Davis are shown on rivers and streams, and  waterfalls. The Site Map shows all other areas of this site on one page for your convenience. If you are interested in reading more about Edward and his art work then please see About the Artist. Similarly, if you would like to commission Edward to paint your favourite scene then details are given under commissions or you could contact him directly by email to discuss your requirements.

Some of Edward’s latest paintings are shown under the What’s New? section of this site of which one is entitled, “Bluebell Walk”. A rapid pointillism technique using oil pastels was used to create the painting called, “Savernake Twilight”; here you can see the base of the forest floor lit with streams of light from the dying sun at dusk. It seems to follow a Claude Monet approach. The last picture on this web page, Capeli Trees, was an experiment which used watercolours pan pigments and watercolour crayons too. Many of Edward McNaught-Davis’ inspirational paintings show hidden faces of people as well as animals which could be considered as Angel Art.  More watercolor fall landscapes are planned for exhibition in the future.
