We are situated in the village of Kirkland overlooking Ennerdale, one of the most unspoilt areas in the Lakes, and are within easy reach of some of the best fell-walking areas in the UK including Ennerdale itself, Wasdale, the Lorton Valley and the fells in between.

We are on the route of the C2C cycle route from Whitehaven and have some of the best cycle touring and mountain-biking routes to be found in this country. We are also just over 1 mile north of Ennerdale Bridge which is the first overnight stop on the Coast to Coast Walk from St.Bees to Robin Hood's Bay made famous by Alfred Wainwright.

If you are attending meetings at the Rowrah Kart racing circuit, we are the nearest B and B to the track and we are proving popular with racegoers. Don't forget to book early as accommodation on race weekends can be a little scarce. Track dates 2007.
