It is late-Spring and the hawthorn blosson
is out in great abundance. Here is a view of Bowness Knott with Steeple
Rock directly above it and all the smallholdings and farms that are
dotted along Ennerdale. I have realised that this 'piglet's head' sculpture
is probably down to the planners of the Forestry Commission who saw
the 'eye' and planned a really impressive visual trick.
