Mullion Cove
Mullion Cove, on the western side of the Lizard Peninsula, is the harbour for the village of Mullion just a mile away. The cove supports some shell fishing and is popular with divers. Mullion village is a small but thriving community with two pubs, a 14th century church and plenty of hotel and guest house accommodation as well as holiday chalets and B & B establishments. The quaint, thatched Old Inn is reputed to have had Marconi as a patron during the time of his first trans Atlantic radio experiments. Nearby Poldhu Amateur Radio Club still uses part of Marconi's old aerial farm to site their antenna.
