Doesn't time fly.. it's hard to believe that we are half way
through the year and the Summer Ball is upon us again.
We started the
evening (as usual) in the bar greeting friends & guests from each of the
clubs. It wasn't long before the call to take our seat's was made and it was
time to eat. The menu this time was favoured by just about everyone with a
melon starter, chicken in leek and mushroom sauce for main and a strawberry
dish for pud. Our table certainly agreed it was one of the better ones (apart
from the mushroom hater).
The formal part of the evening apart from the
dining included the all important Dan grade presentations. Sensei Nursey made a
small speech (we were shocked as it was only 8 mins long) and then presented
the certificates to:

After
the formal photographs of the newly appointed Dan grades we moved on to the
"not so formal" parts consisting of drinking, dancing and towards the end of
the evening the usual bacon sandwiches. All seemed to have a good time and
before we knew it it was over for another 6 months. Thanks to Rae for the
organising, excellently done as usual...
