"The Lady Loves Jazz"
We have been lucky to be able to book jazz vocalist Helen Barrett, who is currently touring the UK. Helen has been singing for as long as she can remember and it always brings her complete and utter joy. Part of a music loving family, Helen began performing professionally over ten years ago, when she was amongst the first graduates of Paul McCartney’s Performing Arts School; LIPA, in Liverpool. Says Helen: "I love songs with great stories, that take you on a journey with their music and words. Songs, that take you from the world you’re in to another, with alternate possibilities. There are so many wonderful singers and artists out there who continue to influence me in many ways - Ella Fitzgerald, K.D. Lang, Etta James, Peggy Lee, Sammy Davis Jr, Jeff Buckley, Leonard Cohen - artists who teach me to seek the truth in every song, take risks and have fun"
You can see Helen, and accompanist jazz pianist Adam Biggs in cabaret at Everton Village Hall on Saturday 14th November. The evening includes a hot two course meal. A licensed bar will be available. Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the main course served at 6:45. The show will commence at 7:30, with the sweet course served in the interval.

Booking Your TicketsTickets for "The Lady Loves Jazz" are priced at £15, including the cost of the meal. These are available as above. In view of the catering requirements we do ask for payment in advance for these tickets. Please order as above. This event is currently sold out, however if you still want tickets please call our box office (01777 817275) for returns. Everton is situated on the A631, 3 miles east of Bawtry.
