Available within easy reach of Exton House without any special arrangements are the following:-
Swimming, mountain-biking, surfing, farm visits, several farm parks, a zoo, heritage railways, surfing, National Trust and other properties, and many gardens open to the public (including the R.H.S. Garden at Rosemoor).

Available by arrangement are the following:-
Shooting and fishing (when in season), horse riding, boating, mountain bike hire, four wheel drive and quad. experience days, walks guided by national park rangers or other experienced guides.

Food and drink:-
There are many exceptionally good pubs and restaurants around Exmoor, together with tea rooms serving delicious cream teas and other food and drinks.
