Seasons Result - Fourth in Championship

Following the 'smoke and mirrors' disappointment of 2004 we decided to have a restful year in 2005 as you can see by the number of DNEs (Did not Enter) and made a conscious decision not to contest the championship. Although we were finally awarded trophies proclaiming us the F1 champions for 2004, the award, although welcome, just didn't do it for us. 

On top of that, we both felt that the distances we would need to cover to enter all races were just that bit too far. If we had decided to go to Cadwell, we would have had to take two days off work, and the prospect of driving the best part of 400 miles home on a Sunday after two days racing just doesn't seem safe. Without the luxury of a dedicated van driver, these sorts of mileages seem excessive. Remember, there are only two of us, and neither of us is in the first flush of youth!

 We had an enjoyable year but felt we had nothing to prove, hence the final placings. We did, however, manage a creditable 4^th place in the championship, even though we didn't really try too hard!

 We are now in the process of deciding what to do in 2006. There is little doubt that we will be on some of the grids but all of them? We shall see.
