Show Regulations
1 Sections A to F are for Members only. Sections G to J & L are Open to all. Section K is open to all Children 15 or under.
2 Non members are limited to a maximum of five entries in the open classes.
3 Ownership. All exhibits (except those in the Floral Arrangement, Homecraft and Children's classes) must be the property of the exhibitor and must have been in their possession for at
least two months prior to the show. Vegetables, flowers and fruit must have been grown by the exhibitor.
4 All Exhibits to comply with the details on the Entry Form. Entries will be accepted on Plain Paper.
5 In classes where a maximum size is specified Exhibitors should put the space required by their exhibit on the entry form.
6 Staging. Entries may be staged on the morning of the Show between 8.30 am and 11.00 am. Exhibits cannot be removed until after prize giving at approximately 4 p.m.
7 Judging will be conducted under the rules of the Royal Horticultural Society, National Rose Society and Sweet Pea Society. The Judges reserve the right to withhold any prize in any
of the Classes.
8 Exhibitors may enter more than one exhibit in any Class but can only take one cash prize in that class.
9 Entries to be received on or before 8.00 p.m. of the Wednesday preceding the show (as per Entry Form). Entry Fee for each exhibit will be 10p; Children entering Section K are free.
Late entries will be accepted up to 10.30 am on the day of the Show, space permitting, at 25p per exhibit.
10 Free admission passes to the show will be issued to each exhibitor who enters 7 or more exhibits.
11 Any matters not covered by these Show Rules will receive the attention of the Show Committee.
12 The decisions of the Judges will be Final.
13 Cups won at this show must be returned, in a clean condition, one month before the same show next year.
14 An Entry card will be issued for each exhibit and the Show Stewards will assist competitors in staging their exhibits.
15 Exhibitors must bring their own vases, bowls or containers. A limited number of plates and vases will be provided.
16 Upon arrival at Methodist Hall competitors will be shown where to stage their exhibits ready for Judging to commence after 11.00 am.
17 Points value will be 4, 3, 2, 1 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Highly Commended in respect of Special Awards and Trophies.
18 Prize Winners must collect prizes from the Treasurer during the afternoon of the Show. All prizes not collected will be donated to club funds.
