Farthing Centre

The Centre is in a modern building with a large hall, workshop, kitchen and toilets. Parking spaces available - access via Lower Anchor Street and Bradford Street.

The main purpose of the Centre is to assist unemployed people between the ages of 17 and 64 but also provides the opportunity for those wishing to better themselves, at very reasonable cost, with the chance to brush up old skills and learn new ones in modern technology.

The Farthing Centre is an OCR approved Centre with courses in:

Word Processing, OCR Clait, Spreadsheets, Databases, Computerised Accounts using Sage, Manual Accounts and Woodwork.

Computers are also available for typing your own CV, again at reasonable cost with some assistance if required. Places are available for those with minor learning difficulty. The Centre is a friendly and helpful place in which to gain or expand knowledge to assist in securing employment and advancement.
