Helston County Court - At Tuesday's sitting of this Court the cause list
was an excedingly small one, only three cases being brought before the deputy-judge,
Mr. Underhay. Of these one was that in which Joseph FAULL, of Wendron,
sued Alfred GOLDSWORTHY, a blind man, of no
particular occupation, for £2 for groceries, the defence in which was
that the man had for years been receiving parish relief. An order was
made for the payment of 2s. a month, subject to the production of the defendant's
certificate as to the receipt of parish pay.
