Newspaper announcement of their wedding:
Earlington Bee, Thursday 16 Apr 1896 - St Charles, Hopkins Co, Kentucky,
USA
As predicted in our last, the wedding bells called us together last Wednesday
night. Miss Joe McALLISTER and Mr. W.J. FAULL were the contracting
parties, with Miss Phronia MURPHY and J.F. BICK as seconds. The Methodist
church was the appointed place and was filled to the utmost. The bridal
party was all that could be wished for in appearance, and were just enough
"behind time" to raise anxiety to the tip-toe of expectation. Brother
B.A. BRANDON, of the Methodist church, tied the nuptial knot, after which
the party together with their friends repaired to the home of the bride, where
they were richly entertained the remainder of the evening. The
St. Charles brass band discoursed appropriate music for the occasion, and
later an elegant repast was served. The event has been anticipated with
joy for some time. They are both well and favorably known here, and
have grown up together from childhood. The entire affair was most enjoyable.
We wish them a long life, and hope that they will be abundantly blessed with
everything that will continue their present happiness.
