Will of Benjamin FOWELL deceased proved in common form before
Edmund GILBERT, Clerk, Master of Arts, Official.
And Admon of all and singular the Goods of the deceased and anyway concerning
the Will was granted to Sibella, now the wife of Richard HOSKIN, the daughter
of the deceased and sole executrix named in the Will.
Being first sworn, saving, No Inventory
No 730 Stamp two pounds
ten shillings
In the name of God, Amen, I Benjamin FOWELL of the Parish of St Dominick
and County of Cornwall, being but weak in Body, yet of a sound and perfect
mind and memory (thanks be to God for the same) do constitute this my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following:
Imprimes, I give and bequeath to my son Henry FOWELL the workshop together
with all the iron and tools therein, and also the silver cup with the letters
H F engraven on it and my best suit of clothes
Item – I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin FOWELL my watch and my
second best suit of apparel
Item – I give and bequeath to my son William Bond FOWELL the silver
whistle and balls, and a Half Dozen silver tea spoons and a table spoon
with the letters G F and W F and the figures 1697 engraven thereon.
Item – I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Bond FOWELL the little
gold ring.
Item – I give and bequeath unto my loving wife, whom I do make the sole
executrix of this my last Will and Testament, the dwelling house and garden,
together with all the household furniture (except such as is above mentioned),
bills, bonds, book doble? And accompt to whatsoever so long as she shall
live a Widow. But if she shall marry again then the said house and
garden with all the household furniture, bills, bonds, book, doble?, and
accompt to whatsoever shall come to my children to be equally divided amongst
them.
Sealed and declared to be my last Will and Testament in the Presence
