Richard JENKIN

Crowan, 14 May 1742
The Will and Bond upon the Admion of the goods so forth of one Richard JENKIN lately Deceased  granted to Johan BORGAN one of the prime Legatees named in the said  Will with a Ro?ed of power of granting the like to Richard GILBERT, other prime Legatee named in the said Will, Ann JENKIN in the wife therein named, dying before probate being first in due form of Law sworn haveing so forth. The Admion was sworn before the now John PL?ck a?hed? so forth.

In the name of God Amen. I Richard JENKIN of the Parish of Crowan being very sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for the same and calling to mind that mortality of my body and knowing that I have but a short time to live:
Item - I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it hoping at the go? l the Resurrection I shall receive the same
Item - I give and bequeath unto my sister Honour the wife of William RICHARDS the sum of ten shillings.
Item - I give and bequeath unto my sister Jone BORGAN of the parish of Breage the sum of five shillings.
Item -I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife Ann JENKIN all the rest of my effects both goods and chattles moveable and immoveable whatsoever at the time of my death, whom I do make my whole and sole executrix and I do make and ordain for this my last Will and Testament that my wife Ann JENKIN shall have full power to set and sell any of the goods and chattles I bequeath her whenever she pleases, In paying of all my debts and legacies. And liken? to let the Land during her lives. And after the time of my wife Ann JENKINs death my sister Jone BORGEN of the parish of Breage is to have the one half of the rent of the land and Richard GILBERT, son of Edward GILBERT, of the same parish, is to have the other half.
And my Will is that Giles FAULS of the parish of Crowan to look over and make the most of what my wife Ann JENKIN have. In witness here of I have more unto put my hand and seal the 13th day of July one thousand seven hundred and thirty eight.
