Crowan 23 February 1770
The Will of one William FLOYD lately deceased proved
in commone form of Law before James WALKER bachelor of Law ?
And Admion of the Goods of the deceased and of all things howsoever
concerning this, was granted to the Executor therein named (Being first
sworn, saving ? )
In the name of God, Amen. I William FLOYD of the parish of Crowan in
the county of Cornwall being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind
and memory, thanks be to God for it, And calling into mind that it is appointed
unto all men once to die, doth make and ordain this to be my Last Will
and Testament in manner and form following.
First I recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it. And my
body to be buried with a decent and Christian burial at the discretion
of my Executors. And as to my worthy estate I give and bequeath in the followoing
manour.
First I give to my son Richard FLOYD the sum of one hundred pounds
sterling money to be paid to him if he shall live one year after my decease.
Secondly I give to my son John FLOYD the sum of one hundred pounds
sterling money to be paid to him if he shall live three years after my
decease, if he shall live so long.
Thirdly I give to my daughter Anne SEMS three pounds per year to be
paid to her yearly so long as she shall live, if she lives doth so long
live that is upon the Leace that I have in the Girnick estate The time
of payment to begin after the end of James ARTHURs leace.
Fourthly I give to my daughter Elizabeth DUNN three pounds per year
to be paid to her yearly so long as she shall live, if she lives doth so
long live that is upon the Leace that I have in the Girnick estate. The
time of payment to begin after the end of James ARTHURs leace.
Fifthly I give to Mary SEMs my grand daughter five pounds to be paid
to her if she lives to the Age of twenty four years.
Sixly I give to Anne CHAMPING one gunney in gold if she lives with
me so long as doth live.
Lastly I give until my son William Floyd all the left residue and remainder
of my estate goods and chattles moveable and immoveble theresoever situator
being. Whome I make and ordain my whole and sole Executor of this
left Last Will and testament. He paying all my debts and legacies and yearly
anewities, in witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seal this
tenth day of January one thousand seven hundred and seventy. 1770 William
