Church Family Worship and Bright Sparks
10.30am - 12pm

Our main weekly service is held on a Sunday morning at 10.30am. The church is usually open from 9.45am and people generally arrive from about 10.10am onwards. The entrance to the church is from St Mary's Road, through the big doors at the top of the stone steps on the right hand side, or from the newer entrance next to the Institute Road Car Park. There are often people milling about when you go in, and there will be someone to say hello and make sure you know where to go. You are free to sit wherever you like.

The service is relaxed and informal and is suitable for all ages. We sing some hymns and many newer songs, and all our words are displayed on a large screen at the front of the church. If it is difficult for you to see the words on the screen, then please let us know as alternatives are available. The screen is also used to display notices, images and videos relevant to our worship services. The service itself begins at 10.30am with a welcome and will then include some singing (we have a music group) and prayers. Children are free to move around and join in as they wish.

At 11am we usually take time for refreshments and chat. Apart from the first Sunday of the month, the children will then leave for Bright Sparks (Sunday School) groups while the service continues with more prayers, a close look at a particular theme or passage from the Bible, and (on the third Sunday of the month) communion. On the first Sunday of the month we have a Church Family Service suitable for all ages, children and adults, together. We will normally take an offering - though visitors are under no obligation to give anything!

We try to keep things relaxed and want all our visitors to feel comfortable. Everything is explained as we go along, and no-one minds if you don't know the songs or you'd rather not sing! The service is usually led by our Minister, Rev Geoff Cook, although others do take part.

We also have a Reflective Afternoon Communion Service once a month from
3.30pm to 4.30pm (usually the first Sunday of the month) and other services as announced.
