2 new born badger cubs were found squirming in a garage in a badly flooded area of Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria. No sign of the sow, this was the only dry spot for miles. I collected them and the hard work began.
I named them Grizzly and Bear. Grizzly was ill, noisy and upset and sadly died the second day in of infection. They still had wet cords attached when they came to me. Bear strived to survive and survive he did.
The following photos show his progress. He was moved to Pauline Kidner’s Secret World in Somerset at 10 weeks to live with other badger cubs and continue his rehabilitation.
