John Garrison
Garrison, John
Bass guitarist in James Blunt's band. Joined the band in January 2008 for the All The Lost Souls Tour replacing former bassist Malcolm Moore. John, the former frontman and founder of the band 'Budapest' became a solo artist after the band split in 2006, releasing his debut solo album 'Above The Cosmos' in 2007 (see the Budapest/John Garrison dedicated fansite HERE). John has also previously worked with Leona Lewis, Bitty McClean, Broken Dolls amongst many others.
Ghost, Amanda
British Singer, Songwriter. Amanda co-wrote the songs Billy and You're Beautiful with James and
Sacha Skarbek and is also credited as singing backing vocals on Wisemen for James' debut album Back To Bedlam.
Ghost Town
Song by British ska band The Specials. Usually the last song played over the sound system prior to James and the band coming on stage at live concerts.
Gig In The Sky
On 29th June 2010 James broke the World Record for the highest gig ever performed flying aboard a Boeing 767 aircraft at an altitude of 42,000 feet above the UK. Passengers aboard the flight included a Guinness Records adjudicator and competition winners from Heart Radio. James performed five songs including the previously unheard Heart Of Gold. James was awarded a framed certificate to honour his achievement.
Girling-Butcher, Victoria
New Zealand singer. Victoria (solo without her band Lucid 3) supported James on
his Australasian Tour on one date in Auckland, New Zealand on April 10th 2006.
Give Me Some Love
The sixth track on James' second studio album All The Lost Souls.
Glastonbury Festival
Annual festival held in South West England. One of the largest greenfield music festivals held in the world. In 2004 James performed in the New Tent on the Sunday morning at 10.15am. In 2005 he returned and performed on the Pyramid stage in front of a crowd of thousands. James has often stated in interviews that performing at Glastonbury on the main stage was one of the highlights of his career. James returned again to play the main pyramid stage again at the Glastonbury Festival on 28th June 2008.
Gleeson, Tom
Australian comedian. Tom performed a parody of You're Beautiful titled You're Beautiful Stalker Remix.
Global Gathering, The Many fans (Bedlamites) travelled from far and wide from 11 different countries to meet up and attend James' gig at the Brixton Academy on the 18th February 2006.
Grace
American singer/songwriter. Grace will support James on his European Tour for five dates in March 2008.
Gray, Dorian
Fictional character from the novel 'The Picture Of Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde. Features in the lyrics to the song Tears And Rain. In the story, Dorian sells his soul for eternal youth and good looks but his
painted portrait depicts the decline of his soul.
Griffin, Kevin
American guitarist, vocalist, producer, and songwriter. Kevin Co-wrote songs with James for his third studio album Some Kind Of Trouble.
Goodbye Mama Hahn
Early demo Song. Written by James. The song features in the James Blunt documentary film Till You're Told To Stop.
Goodbye My Lover
The fourth track on James' debut studio album Back to Bedlam. Written by James and Sacha Scarbeck.
I think Goodbye My Lover is the most personal on there, it really reminds me of the thoughts that were in my mind at the time so I am really happy about that song but also really sad about it tooJames Blunt
It was recorded in Carrie Fisher's bathroom where she has a grand piano. Goodbye My Lover is the fifth single released by James on the 19th December 2005. The singles B-Side tracks are Close Your Eyes and Where is My Mind (recorded live in Manchester, UK). The music Video directed by Sam Brown was shot in Los Angeles on 28th October 2005 and stars Mischa Barton and Matt Dallas. The single reached number 11 in the UK singles charts on Christmas Day 2005 and climbed to number 9 on 1st January 2006. The single was re-released in the U.S. on 7th November 2006.

John 'Gumby' Goodwin is credited for playing guitar on James' debut studio album Back To Bedlam.
Gorfain, Eric
Credited as 'E. Gorfain and the section' for strings on James' debut studio album Back To Bedlam. Eric has toured with the likes of Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, and Sam Philips. Eric has contributed on many other albums. Some of the more notable artists include Sean Lennon, Finch, Sierra Swan, and Maroon 5.
Guitars
One of the first acoustic guitars James brought was a Seagull S6 original. James' guitar of choice is his trusty Gibson J-45 (1966) acoustic in vintage sunburst. A popular model with many other artists such as Paul Weller, Bob Dylan, Noel Gallagher and John Lennon. At more recent performances he has been seen to use other acoustic models, namely a Gibson LG-1 (1958) and a Guild F412 12 string. Band member Ben Castle uses a Fender Telecaster electric guitar.
