Zebra Crossing A type of pedestrian crossing used in the UK, USA, Australia and Europe. Characterized by longitudinal black and white stripes (hence the term named after the Zebra). A zebra crossing famously appears on the cover of The Beatles Abbey Road album. James was actually filmed using a zebra crossing in the title sequence of the TV special James Blunt at the BBC.
Zeedonk A zeedonk is an interspecies cross between a zebra and a donkey (also known as a Zonkey). The first Zeedonk to be bred in captivity was in Colchester Zoo, Essex in 1971. One of the world's leading authorities on the zeedonk is Professor Rob of Cackton University. When asked to comment about this unusual animal, his reply is 'Genius!'.
Thank you to Mr. Rob for these suggestions to fill the Zee page!
