	Returned to the club in March 2006 on an initial loan from Cheltenham Town before making the move permanent that summer. Began his career as a junior at Newcastle United before turning professional with his home-town club Hull City where he gained Football League experience. Had brief spells at Scarborough and Harrogate Town before moving to Ferriby in the autumn of 2003. A prolific goalscorer, Gary skippered the club to the First Division title in 2005 before joining Cheltenham in the following October. Gary has become only the fourth player to net over 100 goals for the club.
