By Mark Chestney and Ian Richardson (Matlock Town) For the first time this season North Ferriby United failed to go away from home and not come back with a point. With fifteen minutes to go they led 1-0 at Matlock but two very late goals for the home side snatched the victory. The loss of Danny Ryan with a groin injury saw Ferriby lose their shape in the second half. But once again for Neil Parsley’s side ‘Lady Luck’ is not on their side. “Again I’m disappointed as I think we did more than enough to have come away from Matlock with a point,” said Parsley. “We absolutely worked our socks off out there today but if Lady Luck isn’t shining there’s not a lot you can do about it. The first half saw us have a great shape but Danny was a big loss to us. “We were very resilient at Ossett and we spoke after the Ilkeston game about how we can turn things round. Today was another performance in which we rolled our sleeves up and unfortunately came away with nothing. “We take on Gateshead at Church Road on Tuesday night so we’ll look to get something from that game. With the effort the players have been putting in we deserve something.” Ferriby were without Gary Bradshaw who was starting the first of his three match suspension for his dismissal at Leek Town . Paul Foot replaced the striker in the forward role and it paid dividends after just nine minutes. The defender turned striker rose above the Town defence to rifle a header past goalkeeper Andy Richmond. It was then left to Ferriby keeper Antoni Pecora to keep the home side at bay which he did. It was certainly end to end football with Simon Barraclough and Steve Curcuit going close for the home side. Ferriby held out until 15 minutes from time when Town grabbed an equaliser. Gary Webster put in a cross from the right for Barraclough to help it on to Steve Warne. He fired the ball into the bottom corner giving Pecora little chance. In a frantic final few minutes Ferriby were forced to defend manfully but again they failed to keep the opposition out. In stoppage time Steve Taylor found space eight yards out to plant the ball in the net for the win. Team: Antoni Pecora,
