David Bray - Musical Director

David Bray is currently an Education Adviser for Northamptonshire County Council.

He has worked with many of the UK’s leading orchestras as a trumpet player - specialising in the performance of Baroque music on the natural trumpet. He has also worked as a soloist - performing the Telemann concerto at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.

He has conducted professional orchestras and numerous high standard youth music groups, including orchestras, concert bands and brass bands.

David is an experienced solo singer and choir director. He was the founder of the Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire County Youth Choirs. He has taken three different choirs to the final rounds of the national televised Choir of the Year competition and performed at the Schools Prom at the Albert Hall.

He has also been awarded three outstanding and five highly commended awards at the National Festival of Music for Youth, as well as prizes at international choral competitions at Riva del Garda and Montreux.
