Consultancy


Fish health and welfare is our top priority, consultation is available for all aspects of fishkeeping including aesthetic improvements such as reducing algae, improving plant life etc.

Call out fees start from £40.00 local and vary depending on distance from Hassocks, West Sussex. Consultation for domestic is available in all areas of the UK.

Commercial

Landscape gardeners and designers:
We have been very fortunate to work with some fine landscape gardeners to bring their designs to life through our extensive knowledge of filtration, pumps and pond design and construction. We are always keen to hear from Landscape gardeners that require specialist knowledge in the aquatic regions.

Ponds – Offering advice on all aspects of a healthy pond including fish health and aesthetics.

Lakes – Offering advice on all aspects of a healthy lake including:

 Promoting a healthy invertebrate population in and around lake.

Pond Design and Construction:

Expertise is essential in this specialist area and we are here to make sure the design is not only a highly attractive feature but also a practical design with the correct filtration and advice being supplied from the beginning.

Planting in the pond and on the margins is carried out with not only thought for the present aesthetics but what the pond will eventually evolve into overtime.

Any liners can be used from the standard Butyl and PVC to fibre glass and bentomat – depending on the type of pond being created.

Transparency from the beginning so our clients know exactly what is going on and when is very important to us and helps with peace of mind for both parties.

Estimates and Quotes are usually supplied with various options for the client to choose from with our recommendations and advice always available.

Pond and Water Feature Renovation and Repair:

We will happily quote to renovate and repair existing ponds and water features. We have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to renovate fine Victorian water features and fountains in previous jobs. Typically we tend to reline and repair ponds, water features and waterfalls etc.


Remedial Work

We get involved with a lot of remedial work, fixing and improving problematic designs and installations.


Aquarium Design, Installation and Maintenance

The company Fishkeeping.eu first started as Aquaticare in 2001 installing fish tanks into hotels and private homes. This expanded and proved popular with doctors surgeries, accountants, solicitors, restaurants and all manner of business that wish to improve the working environment or waiting rooms.

Aquariums have been proven to reduce stress in the workplace and people have more patience in a waiting room when an aquarium is present (Morrison, M.L 2007, Complementary health practice review).

We can supply bespoke aquariums out of glass and acrylic to suit the designs of your home or company.

Temporary setups are available for shows, but please phone regarding this. It is a strict policy to never compromise fish health and welfare and temporary aquariums must be done correctly to look good and have optimum fish health.

Aquarium Maintenance

Maintenance contracts have been running since 2001, we are gaining new customers very regularly and our first original customer is still a valued customer. We maintain home and business aquariums from £30.00 a visit depending on location, usually monthly.

Some customers require a one off maintenance visit or renovation of their aquarium
