I can tell you why it’s the best, it’s because it introduces so many concepts that hadn’t been seen before in videogames. It’s technically so superior to every other Nes game. It’s like a Snes game but on the Nes.

I don’t know a great deal about the master system

There aren’t that many good games.

Well you can’t say that if you haven’t played them all! In my experience the best game is Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which is amazing a great game. Especially for that hardware. You’d think by looking at it that the master system was from the 1930’s or something

It was technically superior to the Nes . Had a much more vibrant palette.

The Snes is the best console ever overall. The best game, hhhmmm… there’s so many.

Super Mario world for me I think that’s the most magical game

It’s amazing, when it came out it was clearly the best videogame ever and wasn’t topped in the consoles lifetime.

Yes, Street Fighter 2 Turbo has got to be the best translation of an arcade game to a console

I have to say, Donkey Kong Country has too be a close second to Mario World . In classical Rare fashion, they look at a Nintendo game , break it down into what makes it fun, clone it but add a whole load of their own ideas, characters and philosophies in an English style.

Streets of Rage 2

Streets of Rage 2 , the absolute best. Amazing music, really good fun to play. Just an epic game really, The best scrolling beat em up ever.

There are so many moves. Gun star Heroes was an amazing game.

As an addition to the Mega Drive, the Mega CD. The best game on that’s definitely Sonic CD. Even though they didn’t really know what to do with the technology.

It was the first console with F.M.V, but it had such a crap palette they just looked absolutely awful.

What was so special about Sonic CD then?

It’s got CD music, its got rapping and scratching in it it’s just the ultimate sonic game. And also it’s little known.

It’s a rare one and that’s what makes it special for me.

The play station is the best optical console . It’s got such a variety of games.

The type of games that I didn’t see coming.

It taught me that games could be something different to what you’d seen on the Snes, games could appeal to your emotions, and they could be actually realistic.

Games like Metal Gear Solid, a concentrated experience. You can sit there and complete the entire game in one sitting. Like being in a great movie.

Final Fantasy Seven is my favoutrite game ever. I don’t want to start talking about it because I’ll go on for hours.

Obviously Sega always play to their strengths, converting their arcade franchises.

Although it wasn’t powerful enough to keep up with arcade hardware.

Yeah, clearly games like Daytona USA was so crap on the Saturn compared to the arcade version

It’s very good for beat em ups.

Sega Rally is amazing. Nights is a great cult game. It’s got its own controller it’s an original genre of games really. But for game play wise Sega Rally is my favourite on the Saturn.

I love the N64. If you took the number of titles and divided them by the quality of the games for all consoles then the N64 would come out on top.

Obviously they didn’t have much 3^rd party support, but the quality of games made by Nintendo and Rare are just…..ridiculous.

Absolutely mind-blowing . Its only really right for certain types of games due to the hardware, and the controller. But the games that are made for the hardware are absolutely mind-blowing.

I remember walking in to game and playing on Mario 64 on a demo machine and it absolutely blew my mind. I couldn’t believe I was moving a character around, actually in 3d. 360 degree movement.

And you have total control over the camera.

Banjo Kazooie was a brilliant , like, continuation of Mario 64.

Golden eye is my favourite first person shooter ever, it shits all over Halo.

Conker was cool.

Zelda is my favourite. Technically that’s the best game ever,… Ocarina of time.

Majora’s Mask is a brilliant, dark, more rare edition to the series, which I’m really glad most people haven’t played.

Perfect dark obviously. With Hobo Johns face in it!

Another Sega, almost as powerful as the arcade hardware at the time. Based on the Arcade hardware at the time.

So the ports were very good but there were very few games made solely for the Dreamcast.

Of course Sonic Adventure, Sega’s first 3D interpretation of sonic was pretty crap

Awful, disgusting. On a side note, Sonic Heroes is one of the worst games I’ve ever played.

Sega didn’t understand what they were supposed to do with 3d, it’s terrible.

It’s got a certain charm the Dreamcast. The games are flawed but they’ve got character. Especially Japanese style the character. And it’s amazing for copyright violation.

Its support from Capcom makes it the best console for 2d beat em ups.

Shenmue 2 is the best game for Dreamcast, it’s a flawed masterpiece – will we ever learn what happens to the vivacious, articulate, forklift-racing Ryo Hazuki?

Best game is Grand Theft Auto 3. It’s absolutely incredible. It totally defies the hardware. It’s absolutely exceptional. It takes all the elements of the original game and translates in to 3d perfectly. So much fun to play on so many different levels.

I never thought that Nintendo would disappoint me, in terms of hardware, but the Game cube has.

It hasn’t lived up to expectations.

I can’t believe it wasn’t launched with a Mario game. I think Mario Sunshine is a massive disappointment. Even though it’s technically a good game, I don’t think it’s brilliant.

I think the best Game cube game is Wind Waker.
