A Sign of Hope ... ... A Place of Help

and welcome to the Folkestone Rainbow Centre's updated Website. On the following pages you will find out a little bit about who we are, what we do, how we do it, and why!

Set up in 1985 as the Folkestone Family Care Centre to help local people deal with personal, emotional and family problems, we adopted the Rainbow as a sign of God's promise of hope for a brighter future, becoming the Folkestone Rainbow Centre in 1992.

We offer a range of social support for parents, children, the lonely, the isolated, the socially excluded and the homeless, as well as a fully professional counselling service.

A manager, co-ordinator or leader, backed up by a Director, a few part time staff members and over 150 volunteers, ably run each arm of this Christian charity.

In June 2003 the dedicated work of our volunteers was recognised when the Folkestone Rainbow Centre was amongst the first in the country to receive the Queens Golden Jubilee Award for service to the community.

Find out more about this exciting and vibrant Christian charity through the links to the left of this page.
