INTRODUCTION
EXTON PARK is a large traditional English country estate that has been the
home of the Noel family (the Earls of Gainsborough) for almost four hundred
years. The park has existed since the 12th century and has been visited by
many famous people including Handel who put on performances in the gardens
of Exton.
Driving down this ancient park where once herds of deer roamed, through
beautiful old woods and farmland, one passes the Queen of Bohemia's ride in
historic Tunneley wood to arrive at Fort Henry a magical mock-gothic fishing
folly built in 1788 by William Legg for Henry, Earl of Gainsborough. This
wonderfully romantic building sits on the edge of a lake, covered in the summer
with water lilies and at times host to hundreds of swans.

Exton Hall, principally the private home of Viscount Campden and his family,
and not normally open to the public, provides a beautiful, peaceful and above
all quintessential English setting for a limited number of weddings, either religious
ceremonies in our large private 19th century Roman Catholic Chapel, or
marquee receptions in the magical secluded grounds. It is possible to have
elaborate yet highly personal receptions or events tailored to individual
requirements to this unique location. Every event at Exton is special and all
clients have exclusive use of the grounds. The historic and hugely atmospheric
grounds are host to an abundance of secret treasures (for example the
dreamingly romantic Fort Henry and the ruins of the original Tudor mansion)
that make Exton Park an ideal location for filming and photo shoots.
The extensive lawns provide ample space for helicopters to land and there are
acres of parking for cars.
