Review of nu choons - by James Divine

ist: Pink Grease

Title: Carlights

Label: EMI

RD: 05/03/2007

Exceptional breakbeat track with punky vocals, making this choon innovated and sound.

Quite fast pace, at 136 bpms. The beat and ground percussion are well arranged. Excellent fill-ins and use of drum kit. Yet, some may find this reasonably hard to mix with.

Lovely use of keys and chords.

The bass is tidy, but doesn’t over impress me.

The vocals are applied well, which allows them to gel well (with the track). Great use of ‘vooming vocal’.

This choon has great structure and is well balanced throughout. I’d image this track will goto the top 20.

Remix Alisa:

119 bpms

Already a fan of the original. Yet, this is extremely inspirational and elevating.

I actually rate this more than the original I like the way this particular mix progresses towards the end. Uplifting and spring full feeling. Easy to mix at 119 bpms.

Artist: LCD Soundsystem

Title: North American Scum

Label: DFA

RD: 26/02/2007

I never know what to expect when listening to LCD promo. Yet, I’m pleasantly surprised with this number.

The vocals are well written and properly sung. The vocalist adapts well as the track progresses and builds up prior to the chorus. The chorus itself, is loud and distinguished.

For a rocky-punk beat, this is very tight indeed.

As this track could be banded (if it’s not already), this track shall go to the top 10 - JD

137 bpms, allows this track to be successful on the dance floor.

Artist: Robbie Williams

Title: Never touch that switch

Night Moves – remix: 124bpms

Sounds like the producer has just had their first class of GCSE studio studies. I mean, this is really basic indeed. And just by sticking Robbie Williams name on it, isn’t gonna make it sell big (or is it)?

Title: War out there - mixes

Label: EMI

RD: 26/02/2007

South Central: Should have never been pressed, worst than Switch, R.Williams.

Tomboy vocals: Grand percussion, both assigned sounds and arrangement. The vocals have been fitted ok and are quite political. The keys are shockingly bad.

Yet, when that bass & just drum roll it really gels well. Fairly danceable at 130bpms.

Tomboy dub: Actually, my favourite mix of all. I’ve managed to play it out, but only as interview background material.

Artist: ONO with Blow Up

Title: Everyman Everywomen

Label: Astralwerks

RD: 12/02/2007

Has a certain Euro rock-house feel to it. Mainly due to the style of sound from the guitars.

The percussion is very four beat at 135 bpms, allowing this track to be mixed with other genres.

I personally don’t think much of the vocal, though they are applied fairly well.

The actual structure is well arranged, allowing the listener to feel the music.

Artist: ONO with Peaches

Title: Kiss Kiss Kiss

Label: Astralwerks

RD: 12/02/2007

Has a certain bizarre RnB feel to it, at 139 bpms. Yet, the vocalist sounds like she’s never heard RnB?!

In terms of music, it pretty well produced. It lacks creative, as some of the keys are the same as the vocals. It contains one catchy melody, which is just too over played.

This is the sort of track, that I’d be very scared to see the video to!

Artist: All Saints

Title: Chick Fit

Label: EMI

RD: 26/02/2007

Best track that I’ve heard by the All Saints, this millennium.

The vocals are tranquil to get hooked to. Yet, they do sound stretched. However, it still flows suitably.

Remarkable broken percussions, and excellent use of ground percussion at 127 Bpms.

Sweet and unique keys, excellent affects applied. Great popping bass, that flows well.

The track it rather long and lacks progression and just applies filtered affects.

On the whole the track is original, balanced and got structure.

People have asked me who produced the track and I’ve noticed it has wocked the floor.

Artist: Tracy Thorn

Title: It’s all true

Label: Virgin

RD: 26/02/2007

Had to double check the date of this record. As it contains very 80s syths and very 90s sub. I really don’t feel a lot of balance within this track and can’t brand it. Yet, the individual parts, vocals, keys and bass are good. Just, not together.

Not impressed with the over used cowbell percussion at 118 bpms.

Having said that, I do rate the remixes a lot. In particular, the very smooth ‘Escort’ remix. Been quite popular on the floor.

Artist: Robbie Williams & Pet Shop Boys

Title: She’s Madonna

Label: Chrysalis

RD: 05/03/2007

There is a certain balance throughout this track.

Great keys applied, assuming that the Pet Shop Boys are back to their tricks.

Grabbing bass line that is sound structured. Got to give it to Robbie, vocal wise. He has applied himself well, by keeping to that PSB structure. Not to take anything away from the 80s & 90s PSB vocals, but, Robbie has the millennium voice.

I see this being an anthem for the gay scene. Only played it out three time, but every time has been successful. The more I hear this, the more I like it.

Title: We're from Barcelona

Label: EMI

RD: 28.08.2006

Well this should have been released this time last year and promoted at the Live 8.

The song contains a very catchy chorus, along with melodies and chords.

For the song it's self, I haven't played it out. As is would clear the dance floor. However, I expect this song to sell well in the UK and it should reach the top 10. Mainly, because of it's feel good 'la la la' factor (that I'd imaged, will be echoed though out the pubs & playgrounds).

Artist: Pet Shop Boys

Title: Minimal (remixes)

Label: EMI

RD: 24.07.2006

Many of the elements in this mix are simple and easy-to-follow. Yet, the arrangement is fantastic. The simple loops, riffs and synths have great movement and support the structure well.

When playing this track, people appeared puzzled at first yet they seemed to become increasingly addicted. Good arrangement, great atmospheric chords but the percussion is a bit weak and simple.

Like the chorus and most of the vocals.

Good use of bass and keys.

Talk

Release Data

27/02/2006

Record Label

Parlophone

This progressive House choon, is a first-class remix of the original.

The percussion is very simple. Yet, effective. Great use of drums

The vocals, gels well into the arrangement of instruments and beat.

The acid drops are significant, allowing the listener to feel the progression. However, other polyphonic samples could be layered tighter. This leaves the choon, having certain structural weakness; as some of the sounds clash. The bass sounds very robotic and should be a little more distinctive.

Excellent use of filters and velocity.

At 130 bpms, this can easily be mixed into other dance genres.

A very balanced remix by the Disco Whores. The percussion is minimum at 4 beat and bounces splendidly at 125bpms. The ground percussion is executed flawlessly, with great original effects.

Another beauty about this remix is the additional vocals that ride the beat efficiently. The use of the keys is good

Love that popping bassliner, wow!

The general structure is good quality, in terms of the laying, build ups and break downs.

Personally, I prefer the Solid Groove remix. I believe this Tribal House remix will work the floor better than any of the other remixes, including the original.

The vocals are a little bland, yet pleasantly written.

Great ground percussion and arrangement of drums. Sweet polyphonic melodies, that dives nicely in and out. Not too sure about the bass.

I reckon this will make the top 20.

Title: Number 1

Label: Mute

RD: 31.10.05

An exceptional basic percussion, which builds up ever so slowly.

Don’t like the synthesisers much. It could have been used in a Sega Master system game.

Strange melt down just after the half-way point. Which doesn’t give the choon good progression.

Very mixable at 124 bpms. Yet it sounds very slow and should be faster.

This choon may possible break-even in other European markets.

Title: I’m in love

Label: Virgin

RD: 24.10.05

The arrangements of this choon are too basic. The first time it's heard, it sounds too easy to follow.

The percussion is choppy house and the arrangements are pretty simple. The ground percussion is effect, but predicable. The sounds applied are good, but don’t progress much.

Stumpy bassline that does sound quite heavy, yet much of the other sound in this choon are just small riffs, chords and keys that are extracted from the bassline.

Danceable and mixable at 126 bpms This choon is good fun to mix. In particular, I prefer the third mix. It had a positive effect on the dance floor last night.

Artist: Fischerspooner

Title: A Kick In The Teeth

Label:

RD:

As soon as this choons starts, it has the club cult cut vibe to it.

Poppin broken beat at 130bpm, mainly because of its mixture of snares. Excellent ground percussions. General arrangement of percussions is good (kicks, snares, hats) and sounds authentic. Vocals don’t really gel too well in all areas. Annoying melody of the synths that sounds out of key to the vocals.

The general arrangements of the track is good, yet not fluent because of the strange mess of sounds.

Artist: Schwab

Title: DJs in a row

Label: EMI

RD: 14.11.05

I like the development of the percussion; it takes a while before the 4 beat kicks in.

Excellent ground percussion, which supports the arrangements and the progression. Great build up and drop.

Easy tempo of 127 bpms, that makes it so mixable with other genres.

All the ingredients merge in and that does gel well together.

Artist: Audio Bullys

Title: Get get down

Label: Virgin

RD: ?

Choppy House with wavey heavy bassline. Giving this choon a particular speed garage field.

The arrangements of percussions are very energetic and well layered.

Fantastic use of the sample and general application of it.

The key signature is very jolly and evolves well, with the sounds and effects on them. The screaming synthesizers somewhat give this track originality?!?

Very cool, yet simply effective with the small use of vocals.

Danceable and mixable at 130 bpms

Artist: Dwele

Title: I think I love you

Label: Virgin

RD: 24.10.05

This Rnb percussion is pretty simple yet very effective, and the proof has been on the dance floor. This particular percussion has been well demanded on what I seen in the clubs.

Wired funky bass line. I suppose another sound could have been used to balance out the drums and vocals.

Lovely sound throughout, in particular the soft chords.

The vocals are sung fairly well by Dwele, but, he sounds like hes been speeded up alittle to fit the track.

Ever so danceable and mixable at 102 bpms

Artist: Pharrell

Title: Can I have it like that

Label: Star Trax

RD: 31.10.05

Excellent use of percussion, effective two step arrangement.

The 2 step bass line is rather loopy, (meaning, that) you expect it to take you somewhere?

The vocals are well-written but more could be expected of Pharrell’s performance. The chorus is nearly nonexistent with only two verses; repetitive and light in comparison to the track itself.

On the whole, the track is well arranged with good riffs and nice effects.

Danceable and mixable at 101 bpms; this track appeals on the dancefloor and has been requested on-air.

This choons contains that rock foundation of N.E.R.D. yet, within the bling-bling market. It should top the 20 singles chart.

Artist: LCD Soundsystem

Title: Tribulation

Label: Virgin

RD: 26.09.05

Surprising amount of people dancing to this on the dance floor, as I have expected to have to mix out of it quickly. This dance track is quite danceable at 120bpms, yet speeding it up mixes pretty effectively with other house.

The bass, percussion and keys are well arranged in a good way, yet, sounds simple. The use of the vocal cuts are very good, I for one think that’s what carries this track off in the clubs.

Artist: The Electric South Ft Bob Lind

Title: Sing

Label: Virgin

RD: 17.10.05

Sounds like a typical 90s track. Bland, with not a lot of energy.

Like the keys and wavy bassline. However, the ground percussion at 112bpms, is feeble and undanceable.

Certain builds ups and sound structures are fragile. Mainly because of the levels, pan and eq.

The vocals are peaceful and jolly. Yet, the main vocalist is poor, but the chorus is sung considerably well.

Sounds like a lost pop gospel country n western track, that I can’t see doing it in Mississippi. Yet, maybe there is a market for this in Europe?

Artist: N.O.R.E

Title: CHOSEN ONE: PAPI ONE

Label: Urban Box Office

RD:

Quite danceable at 94bpms. Very slow for UK raga though, maybe imitated raga?

The lyrics are repetitive and the badly-written

Their mass number doesn’t do them any favour and prevents any of them to impose him\herself as leading the track anywhere.

However, I do like the ground percussion and general arrangement of the track.

Artist: Gorillaz

Title: DARE (Soulwax MIX)

Label: Parlophone

RD: 22.08.05

Artist: Jermaine Dupri

Title: Gotta Getcha

Label: Virgin

RD: 12.09.05

The actual, instrumental is great. In fact, I prefer it without the vocals.

The track appears naked: Not really going anywhere.

The main vocalist sounds regular and the lyrics are regular. But the chorus sounds scarce. It doesn’t even fit the track nor does he sound like he can sing.

Love the percussion, beaks and bass line. It has been popular on the dance floor and required on air.

Artist: Goldfrapp

Title: Ooh La La (mixes)

Label: Mute

RD: 08.08.05

The Tiefscharz dub appeals to me much more than the other mixes. I wouldn’t play any of them out, only this Tiefscharz dub.

The vocals are best used here: they ride the beat well and don’t sound starched. The ground percussion is effective but quite simple. The drums are 4 beat and pretty danceable at 127 bpms.

Many of the elements in this mix are simple and easy-to-follow (just like the other mixes by the way). Yet, the arrangement is fantastic. The simple loops, riffs and synths have great movement and support the structure well.

Personally, I really like this distinct mix and its impressive bass and balanced progression. Unfortunately, some of the sounds clash due to their types and frequencies.

Artist: Gorillaz

Title: DARE (DFA MIX)

Label: Parlophone

RD: 22.08.05

I love the way the mix opens up; it makes it easier to mix than the other mixes.

The drums are quite simple (like the original). However, there are more open hats and cowbells which still make this particular mix of track hard to define: What genre is it? (cos of its infringements).

Crazy cheap effects applied near the end of mix. Why? The progression is very experimental, but in the end sounds like a nightmare.

Artist: Chemical Brothers

Title: The Boxer

Label: Virgin

RD: 11.07.05

This track is very muddy indeed. Great ground percussion, with this endearing guitar riff. The broken-rock drums are good. The synths are good and used well.

The vocals are well written and sung, but the particular effects applied don’t alleviate the radio edit but only injure your ears. The wavy bass is ok. Good arrangement of crazy, yet badly eq’d elements. The sound quality of the hats and vocals doesn’t add any value to the track.

This choon has good potential, but to me sounds muffed. Not very danceable at 97 bpms and the retro ingredients are left in the park.

Artist: Fischerspooner

Title: Never Win 12"

Label: EMI

RD: 04.07.05

Remarkable, break rock-pop percussion. Excellently written vocals and sung well.

Exceptional arrangement of square bass, guitars and lightly progressive synthesisers that give this track a commercial characteristic.

Much preferred the album version. Californian punk-break must top the 20.

Artist: Daft Punk

Title: Technologic

Label: Virgin

RD: 13.06.05

When I first put it on, I thought one of them French guys had recorded their kid again (Jordy). But no, somebody has recorded well written regular vocals, but speeded up. How someone could creative a choon wid the ingredients to produce a track!

Simple 4 to the floor, House percussion. And a slightly off beat bass, which sounds (to me) like it was written for a more break/2 step percussion. But the lyrics, support the track and gels well.

Basementjaxx remix : Crazy progression of animated sounds of which contains the original sample. Absolutely mental to the right market.

Artist: Audio Bullys

Title: Baby shot me down

Label: Virgin

RD: 25.04.2005

127 bpms is very danceable and easy to mix. Really like the ground percussion and other arrangements of drums on the A side.

Excellent use of the sample but a little over emotional.

Artist: Daft Punk

Title: Robot Rock

Label: Virgin

RD: 11.04.2005

The track it self, is very well produced. The number of effects that are contained in all the individual sounds are very impressive and it flows well, but doesn’t really go anywhere. You’ll find kids using this track in (DJ comp.) DMC tours. Where as, if the arrangement was simplified, more people on the dance floor could relate to Robot Rock better.

The Over drive mix certainly contains more engine capacity than the original mix.

Better arrangements in the Soulwax mix, that should suit a wider range on the dance floor.

Artist: Gorillaz

Title: Feel Good Inc.

Label: Parlophone

RD: 09.05.2005

Marvellous bass line that combines splendidly with the rhythm, which gives this choon that great ground percussion.

The use of the opening vocal is poor and irritating. However, as the track progresses; there is great transitions of vocalists.

Good use of the sample that merges well with the percussion and gives the track structure.

This funky broken pop choon should make top 20.

Artist: The Chemical Brothers

Title: Believe

Label: Virgin

RD: 02.05.2005

Effective use of guitar samples. Simple arrangement of broken percussion, yet admirably operative with bass.

The track lacks progression and the overuse of the beep can become rather/very unpleasing.

The vocals are produced splendidly and gel well with the other elements of the track.

Mathew Johnson mix: Love the extra drum effects that are arranged fairly well. Effective use of the skip with the bass and drum, which may leave the listening as identifying the track as garage.

Artist: K-OS

Title: Crabbuckit

Label: Virgin

RD: 11.04.2005

Remarkable Jazz Funk-fusion track, at a danceable tempo of 95 bpms. Excellent broken Jazz percussion with attractive use, of the brushes on crashes etc.

Fantastic drop with vocals and bass during the verses. Love the guitar chords, sax snaps and weaving bass, that gel together very well.

The chorus should give this track successful airplay to hopefully reach top 20-10.

Artist: Van Hunt

Title: Down Here In Hell (with you)

Label: EMI/Spin up

RD: 21.03.2005

Fantastic samples, that blend well. There is a proportion of soul in this track, which sounds some what marketable/commercial.

Artist: Moby

Title: Lift me up

Label: Mute

RD: 28.02.2005

Moby has certainly evolved his style of music, from tech-house/hardcore, through to ambient. "Lift me up" is a pleasant produced funky-techno house track. The percussion is glowing danceable at around 125bpms and the bass line truly shines.

I’m not sure how well it will do in the charts, however, I think it will do greatly in the clubs.

Artist: Daft Punk

Title: Robot Rock

Label: Virgin Records

RD: 11.04.2005

The track it self, is very well produced. The number of effects that are contained in all the individual sounds are very impressive and it flows well, but doesn’t really go anywhere. You’ll find kids using this track in (DJ comp.) DMC tours. Where as, if the arrangement was simplified, more people on the dance floor could relate to Robot Rock better.

Title: The One

Label: Innocent

RD: ?

Well arranged instrumental for the track. Particularly, really like the bass and sounds of the percussion. The keys and atmospheric chords could be better in the original mix.

Interesting use of vocals, in which, are well sung. But not sure about the brumie accent at the start (nothing against the midlands).

Artist: Kevin Mark Trail

Title: D Thames

Label: Spin Up

RD: 21.02.2005

Fantastic use of vocals, sang exceptionally well by Kevin. Attractive chords and keys combined well. With excellent drums and ground percussion. However, the bass could have more movement.

Artist: LCD Sound System

Title: Daft Punk is playing at my house

Label: Spin Up

RD: 21.02.2005

Stimulating mixture of rock, punk and dance make this unique fresh sound. The balance of this cross genre is very arranged and produced.

Delightful lyrics sang/sampled fairly well. Find of the lucid bass sound and line. Somewhat productive.

Artist: The Chemical Brothers

Title: Galvanize

Label: Virgin

RD: 10.01.2005

Well produced broken beat track. Excellent use of vocals, percussion, riffs and bass. The tempo is very danceable, due to impact from the floor. It also has been demanded on air. I believe this track will make top 10 and will be played out for a long while.

Artist: Beastie Boys

Title: An open letter to NYC

Label: Capital

RD: 06.12.2004

This track appears slower comparing to the other track realised slower than 100bpms. There is also more desire of emotion than dance. Excellent used of bass and percussion. But can't stand the synth.

Artist: Kylie

Title: I Believe in you

Label: Parlophone

RD: 06.12.2004

Firstly, it's alittle difficult to identify the different mixes and they are all nameless. Nevertheless "B1" is a smooth progessive house mix, with all the required elements to be successful in the clubs. Simple and effective 4 beat with all the component softly arranged.

In my view, the additional mixes are "send'em back to the studio" material.

Artist: The Music

Title: Bleed from within

Label: Virgin

RD: 10.01.2005

The Thin White Duke mixes sound too carelessly produced, as the key signature seems to change during the build ups on side A. However, I've played the B side on house international nights and it has been fine on the floor. The B-side is definitely better composed and the arrangements of ground percussion and riffs are much preferred.

Artist: The Music

Title: Freedom Fighters

Label: Virgin

RD: 05.09.2004

Only got this choon recently, as I've been in Florida. However, on the station, there were several requires.

I like the use of vocal samples and how they have been selected and sliced. The samples appear not to be over stretched leaving the bpm around 120s.

Artist: Beastie Boys

Title: Triple Trouble

Label: Capital

RD: 13.09.2004

This Triple Trouble, is one of the best tracks Beastie have came up with recently. Tacky lyrics with simple ripped off break, makes this track seriously addictive.

More than 10 people in Miami asked if I had a copy of this track and no matter what ya think of it, people move it about on that floor.

Artist: Kevin Mark Trail

Title: Perspective

Label: EMI

RD: 04.10.2004

The percussion is well produced, with great bass. Great contains of UK ska/reggae lyrics and catchy chorus performed by Kevin. The guitar flows well, but there could be note and chords.

On the station, there has been text messages, requiring rewinds.

Artist: Kelis Ft. Andre

Title: Millionaire

Label: Virgin

RD: 18.10.2004

Wow, shocking good. I didn't expected to hear a drum n bass sounding single with Kelis distinguished vocals. Oh the whole, this choon is exceptionally well produced. This single should be popular on the waves and certainly on the dance floor. The tempo allows this track to be mixed with DnB and RnB smoothly at 175 bpms.

Artist: Chingy

Title: Balla Baby

Label: Capital

RD: 01.11.2004

This track is pretty bland to me and it sounds like it was rushed. The chorus is very weak, but the verses are better. The hook is far too basic, needs to be reproduced. The percussion, bass and guitar are again far too simple.

Artist: David Guetta

Title: Guetta Blaster - sample

Label: Virgin

RD: 20.09.2004

Very interested in this album sampler. All the tracks are varied and different to each other. However, the arrangements are predicable. But, I'm fairly impressed with the way in which the vocals have been used in all 3 tracks.

Artist: Kylie

Title: I believe in you

Label: Parlophone

RD: 06.12.2004

Firstly, this tracks sounds like score (movie) music. The chorus is addictive and well sung. The verses are more or less spoken, rather than sung.

The other parts of the track (bass line, percussion, keys and chords) have very simply been arranged, yet it still sounds effective. This track will just make top 20.

Artist: Jentine

Title: Bas Ass Strippa

Label: Virgin

RD: 21.06.2004

The vocals of Jentine, are pretty bland. However, her vocals are well backed by Chum.

The percussion is quite simple, yet effective. The arrangement of music is well produced as the dancefloor always seems animated. Tempo is balanced at 107 bpms. 6/10

Artist: Beenie Man

Title: King of the dancehall

Label: Virgin

RD: 25.07.2004

The percussion is well produced, with a 4 broken beat. Great contains of lyrics and well performed by Beenie Man. The bass flows well, but could be better.

On the station, there has been text messages, requiring rewinds. 7/10

Artist: Jay Sean

Title: Eyes on you

Label: Relentless

RD: 14.06.04

Wasn't sure what to think after hearing the "Eyes on you" mixes, over produced, predictable pudding. On the whole it very pop and should make the Top 30.

However, got hooked to the cross production of "Me against myself". A fine innovated urban production, love the lyrics and the singing with the cross dialog ad percussion. 9/10

Artist: Beastie Boys

Title: Ch-check it out

Label: Capitol

RD: 31.05.04

The break and riff are very additive throughout this choon. The vocals are pretty average. However, the chorus is good, but not sure about the verses.

This track is fairly mixable at 115bpm and the percussion is arranged simple.

I'm sure that this track will make the top 20, as long as it is promoted well.

Artist: Kelis

Title: Trick Me remix

Label: Virgin

RD: 17.05.2004

The Artifical Intelligence D&B mix is a little too easy listening for myself and other fellow D&B cravers .

Interesting arrangements of broken Electro precessions at 132 bpm.

You might wanna put the kettle on while it kicks (around 3 minutes!). As the number of different sounds could be produced on a 4 track, as it is pretty bland. But being a DJ, this allows more blend into and out from other material..

.

Artist: Chingy

Title: One call away

Label: Capital

RD: 17.05.04

The percussion is R'n'B arranged efficient at 162 bpms, which is at an unique rhythm. The chorus is superior and the general lyrical delivery is reliable. There is an additive guitar riff and good use of bass. I think this will top the 20 in the UK single charts.

Additionally, really like the b side "Bagg up", apart from the chorus. However, the lyrical contains is excellent within the verses. The percussion is well laid out & easy to mix at 102 bpms.

Artist: NSM

Title: Heat it up

Label: Virgin

RD: 24.05.04

The original mix sounds very badly produced, I can't call that music, only noise.

However, the re-rinse remix is on the other hand is magic. I seriously recommend this mix, its it sounds al lot better arranged than the orginal mix. Excellent use of vocals and love that female cockney chours. Fantastic bass line with very British R'n'B percussion, makes this mix so dancable to most audience types (at 100 bpms).

Very mixable at 129 bpm with simple, progressive percussion . However, the ground percussion and bass line are too repetitive.

Exceedingly effective sampled vocals, in which have been processed well with the chords.

Very smooth soul choon, reminds me of Bump'n'grind & G spot. Wonderful lyrics and chorus, excellent vocals.

Also. Impressed with the R'n'B remix featuring Kanye West

The bass and flute are very additive throughout this choon. The vocals are pretty average. However, the verses are good, but not sure about the chorus.

This track is very mixable at 95bpm and the percussion is arranged well.

I'm sure that this track will make the top 20, as long as it is promoted well.

Very atmospheric, progressive, synthesizer and chip-hop (note: not trip-hop) dance choon.

Love the cheese in the choon and it certainly has an early 80s hse feel to it.

Some DJs gonna find it very hard to mix, as I'm sure they ain't gonna have much of this daftpunk style.

Personal favorite mix, is the B2 "Arena".

Well this single is surely set for the top ten. The simple R'n'B instrumental is quite catchy and with Kylie's vocals, it is the absolute package.

Smooth riffs on a simple rhythm at 96 bpms, makes this choon easy to mix. Don't think much or the verses apart towards the end, however, the vocals are sweet in the chorus. 5/10

Could quite possible be a dance floor regga classic. Excellent riffs, vocals and percussion at an upbeat 103 bpms. The mans will love the chorus and the gal will love the verses, great UK vocal artist. 7/10

Desirable soulful garage production, at a smooth old skool tempo at126 bpms. Love how the beat becomes broken in particular areas of the vocals. 8/10
