Barrow 2-2 Manchester City
January 10th 1946
FA Cup 3rd Round
Attendance 7377
After a 6-2 defeat at Maine Road in the first leg of this FA Cup third round tie Barrow were as good as out of the competition and only had their pride to play for.
Barrow in front of their highest gate of the season battled well and twice led the tie only for Manchester City to equalise on two occasions.
Barrow’s play wasn’t quite up to the standard that they had produced at Maine Road in the first leg but this time they managed to make the score more respectable. Barrow opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour through Clarkson and the other Barrow goal was scored by Alex McIntosh who’s previous club was Dundee.
