OLD REIGATIANS U12S - GULDFORD B FESTIVAL - THE BAD
In this image the lock creates a maul but we fail to capitalise on superior numbers and strength because players are leaning on the maul rather than binding and driving forward.
A forward is tackled, presents the ball and a ruck is created. As the scrum half extracts the ball he is tackled and his pass is disrupted. Four forwards are standing behind the scrum half waiting for a pass or the opportunity to pick up the ball. However only one forward and one back have joined the ruck.
Centre has made a tackle and is competing for the ball. His team mates are in close proximity but fail to offer support and an opportunity to turnover possession or gain ground is lost
In this photo the half back decides to run in to contact and a clear overlap and rare attacking opportunity goes begging
This photo is the start of a sequence of dropped balls from static players that led us from the centre of the pitch to our own goal line.
In this image a tap penatly is taken. Supporting players are to slow to offer any real support and the advantage is lost.
In this image a player makes a great break and gains 15 metres. However the rest of the team (9 in the photo) offer no support and the attack comes to nothing
