Pending his imminent retirement from the Heroclix tournament environment, Rookie Taskmaster™ has landed a lucrative new contract with with an undisclosed holiday firm. He may have photographic reflexes, but from now on this Taskmaster™ will be using an altogether different brand of photography as he travels to various exotic locations in search of a cheap thrill and a 'perfect ten' photo opportunity. You just cant keep a good Tasky down.
Tasky, your the greatest - please come back and fight in unrestricted events very soon, its not the same without you. I'll even consider dropping Veteran Deadpool™.
|
Taskmaster™ tucks into a hearty McDonald's Big Breakfast at some unearthly hour inside Woodhall Services. The cheap and chearful meal has the desired effect as Tasky journeys to Loughborough for the Armor Wars Prerelease & WWHCI Qualifier and goes on to compete in the Single Ellimination rounds after his Human Avatar gains a spawny entry thanks to two drop-outs after the Sealed Booster stage. |
Tasky, working with Deadpool™ again, leads the team to two fine victories against 1) a fiersome Fantastic Four LE team who are all glued on 20 defence thanks to a fine selection of feats, and 2) a very menacing team built around Black Adam™ with a Dumpster superglued to his hand and the Veteran Ghost Rider™. Alas the team bowed out two rounds from the final after a sound thrashing from double Nova Blasting LE Polaris™ (Lorna Dane?) and Phoenix™ with a good degree of support figures. If truth be known Tasky is amazed he got as far as he did today, it was great fun and probably his last big outing before his retirement! |
|
Taskmaster™ travelled to Gencon 2005 at Butlins Bognor Regis with the League of Extraodinary Hockey Shirts* as official Team Mascot. As you can see he quickly settled into the luxury of the standard accomodation that was booked.
|
During Gencon Taskmaster™ took the opportunity to visit the planet Hoth and ride an AT-AT. It was great fun, if a little cold (not so much the snow and ice, more the reception from lots of the Wizards of the Coast staff). |
He gets about a bit! Here we see taskmaster using Galactus to get an improved view at Gencon 2005. It was busy on the Heroclix tables so this wasnt a bad idea. |

Who said its inescapable? Ok, so Taskmaster™ may not be perfectly in focus here, but if you look carefully you will see that he has just escaped from Alcatraz so we can forgive him a slight lack of focus as he dried off. Are you impressed yet? Whilst on his travel to this particular state Taskmaster™ also discovered TWINKIES, DING DONGS and HO HOS. They all taste like C**P! Ok the Ho Hos are basically swiss rolls with horrid chocolate and are vaguely edible - the others are pure sugar hallucinogens and should be banned. How he got some back through customs god only knows! If any one asks - I have never, ever, ever had a Ding Dong anywhere near my MOUTH! |
| Spurned
from his rightful place at the centre of ANY Heroclix©
team for the blasphemous Indy Clix (do people still use
these?), Taskmaster finds himself with some spare time. California Sight Seeing on his day off ... At a height of 1000ft (I am assured) Taskmaster™ surveys the landscape around Mount Diablo rising to 3000ft behing him. As you can see if you look carefully, he did need a little helping hand to achieve even this altitude. I am sure if he had taken a box of TWINKIES, DING DONGS or HO HOS with him the energy rush from all the sugar would have made him sprint the last 2000ft. If not he would surely have been imagining it in his sugar-induced trance. Indeed had Tasky eaten one more TWINKIE, DING DONG or HO HO he might well of been 'California Dreaming' (or dweaming as the Bangles might say) for the rest of his existence. (Is it just me or does Mount Diablo look like a very small hill? Crimson Duck). |

Taskmaster™ on the prowl at dusk ... Here we see our hero posing in front of the Cupid's Span sculpture in San Francisco. It was actually a mistake. Tasky saw the giant bow from a distance and thought it was Hawkeye™ so went to intercept. Imagine his face when he saw it was just a giant sculpture and not the cheesy transporter figure at all. Red faces all round eh? Anyway, Taskmaster is currently in training at an undisclosed location for his next TOP SECRET mission. |
| Here we see Takmaster™ in Loughborough on 11-02-06 as he is about to rip into some Collateral Damage© boosters at the Wizkids Celebration event. | |
Taskmaster™ travelled to the capital on 22nd April (2006) to see what he could spy at the Salute Convention at the ExcEl Exhibition Centre. Here we see him testing out the new 3D Buildings and chatting with his new friend Purple Ring Kingdom Come Green Lantern. |
Whilst Taskmaster™ was in London he took the opportunity to do a little sightseeing on the way back. Here he is outside the Tower of London (on the rail at the front) looking as hard as ever. He really does get about a bit this Tasky doesn't he? Where will we see him next? |
Have YOU seen Rookie Taskmaster™ on his travels? If so send your pictures to crimsonduck@hotmail.com
