This year, with Bracknell competing in the South East Region in Britain In Bloom (after winning the local area competition last year), the judges will be looking for more community involvement, from both groups and individuals. This will include front gardens throughout the Bracknell Town area and this is where you can get assistance.
Bracknell and District Garden Club for the Able and Disabled will be offering free advice to anyone who wants to improve the planting at the front of their property. They will visit your garden, advise you on how to care for any existing plants and provide lists of additional ones that are suitable for your area. These will all be easy to look after and readily obtainable at local Garden Centres and Nurseries. By improving your garden, you also stand a chance of winning a prize in the Council's ' Bracknell In Bloom' competition as well as helping to improve the look of the town and promoting it to a wider public.
For help, please call Gill on 423440 or Andrew on 450914 and they will arrange for someone to visit.
