Comments:
- This is a new version of
this recording sourced from the master tape which was released in October
2006. The one in circulation previously was missing 'Carnaby Street', the
last 'Modern World' and was of a slightly lower sound quality.
- Notes from the original
distributor:
- Master Aud
(Sony TC152) > Soundforge > Flac8 > CD
This is a somewhat raunchy sounding tape because of a raunchy sounding
sound system. The theater, as I recall, was a short-lived attempt to
support groups too big for CBGBs. I don't know what it was before this
concert, but nobody had bothered dusting; sitting on a chair resulted in a
cloud of dust.
I mildly fixed a volume jump at the start, and there was a minute or so
where a channel dropped out so I dubbed in the other channel. I also
mildly knocked down the bass on one channel which was threatening to blow
out a speaker.
