from bbc.co.uk: Paul Weller produced a fantastic, crowd winning performance at the Roundhouse which featured hits from his 30 year career and included some memorable collaborations. Introduced by Phil Jupitus Weller took the stage looking very dapper in a striped blue shirt and smart waistcoat. The crowd were warmed up nicely with favourites "Splinters" and "Above The Clouds" before the first special guests, Amy Winehouse, was introduced. Her hair might look slightly ridiculous and her eye make up excessive but her deep and sultry voice is stunning. Their rendition of the Marvin Gaye classic "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" quickly becomes the first Electric Proms 'moment'. The second comes when Carl Barat joins the band to perform a storming version of "In The City". It's thirty years since Weller has performed the song and the crowd celebrate by throwing pints of lager into the air and holding mobile phones aloft so their mates can join in this special occasion. Hard-Fi's Richard Archer performs lead vocals on a celebratory "That's Entertainment", with the crowd singing back the chorus for several minutes after the song's finish. "A Town Called Malice" closes the show and two thousand fans leave the Roundhouse with massive grins on their faces.
