Welcome to the Unofficial

Great Britain Deaf Swimming Website.

This website will give you all the details that you need to know about the United Kingdom Deaf Swimming Club with contact details on how to join us.

The club is affiliated to the ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) South East Region.

We welcome swimmers with hearing impairments from all over the United Kingdom.

You do not have to be with a competitive swimming club to join us.

Our Deaf National competition is open to all hearing impaired swimmers as long as you are registered with the ASA/WASA or SASA and also a member of the GBDSC, any entrants from any other countries are welcome to enter but must swim as a guest. Our Annual Deaf National Championships is usually used for our head coach to pick a team to represent Great Britain in any European/World Championships or Deaflympics year.

GBDSC is run as a volunteer based organisation comprising of people who are keen to help to  create opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing swimmers, we are constantly looking for anyone willing to join the swimming club commitee who deal with the day to day running of the club, we also depend on the generosity of organisations and individuals from across the country as no funding is provided by British Swimming.
