Eclipse
first started in 2000 with an ethos of theatre for all by all! We have and
always have had a membership age of 10-110 and we plan our shows to accommodate
everyone.
Eclipse is very much about taking theatre to the community,
although we perform in the Willows arts centre… one of our traditions is to take
our annual pantomime on tour around local primary schools on a profit share
(usually in the first week of December). These pantomimes are written by members
of our company and help us keep close ties with our friends in
Corby.
We
also like to promote talent from within. Our shows are usually, directed,
choreographed, musically directed and staged by people in or friends of our
society.
This is not to say that our new friends or new members can't
have ago as Eclipse is a have ago society! If you want to give it a shot, we
will support you!
All of this couldn't happen without two sets of
people.
This
first one is the general committee, made up entirely of volunteers who are voted
onto the Eclipse committee at our A.G.M in January of each year. Unpaid, under
thanked and under appreciated Eclipse Performing Arts would not and could not
continue with out there support and hard work!

The
other group is the people who help fundraise. Eclipse is a self funding,
non-profit organisation and all our cash goes towards putting on shows and
events and is made from the hard work by the people who time and again help out
raising money for us. These people again, do it for the love of it!
