GAYTON COMPANION DOG SHOW 2007
The third Gayton Companion Dog Show was held on Saturday 15th September 2007,
again in Wendover
House's paddock. Like 2006, we were very fortunate to have glorious sunny
weather, especially after the poor summer.
Building on previous success, we expanded the number of classes
from 18 to 25, which included a class exclusively for members of the Companion
Dog Club. Judging took place in three
rings, with Mr Ronnie Irving, Chairman of the Kennel Club, judging in Ring 1 (the
John McCarthy Trophy for the Best Gayton Dog and the pedigree classes), Mrs Kate
Irving judging in ring 2 (junior handling, visitor, veteran and crossbreed
classes) and Mrs Sylvia Parks judging in Ring 3 (the
novelty classes).
145 dogs were entered in 421 classes; raising £540, which was shared between the
Friends of Cynthia Spencer Hospice (Registered charity number 1002926)
and the Gayton Church Heritage Trust (Registered charity number 1111145).
