Strangely Remote by Geoff Anderton
Over the years I have noticed, or have had pointed out, various small differences on Remote memory cards which may be of interest to other collectors. Over the next few issues I hope to list those I know of. It is unlikely to be a complete list since I have probably missed some & I only have about 500 different remote cards in any case.
In Fig 1 the card shown has a small logo @ bottom right of the crossed fingers, this can be TM or "R" in a circle, As far as I know all values exist with this difference. Figs 2, 3 & 4 show the reverses of apparently identical £5 Go Bananas cards, some or all of these differences apply to the other values in my collection. Speak & Save (Fig 5) has reverses as shown in Fig 6 & Fig 7, similarly the card from Cheers Asia (Fig 8) has reverses as shown in Fig 9 & Fig 10.

The next one, Piccadilly (Fig 11), is a strange one, reverses Fig 12 & Fig 13 are different in any case but in Fig 13 my copy is further changed by having adhesive labels attached showing new telephone numbers! perhaps the card (Fig 13) exists without the added labels, who knows?

I have 2 copies of America 1st (Fig 14), on one the name is given as Destia America 1st Gold (Fig 15), but on the other the name is Go Bananas (Fig 16).
I think mention has been made in this magazine of the fact that Swiftcall has the word "Company" (Fig 17) on some cards and "Group" (Fig 18) on others, however on the £5 card showing "Group" I have 2 different reverses, ie Fig 19 & Fig 20, I have not found these differences on any other values.

Finally in this issue the TT card (Fig 21) I have reverses as shown Fig 22, Fig 23 & Fig 24. I know this is not a complete listing but please don't send me any more pictures, some days it takes forever to download my emails !!
