William Cobley was born Gelligaer, Glamorgan abt. June 1867. He was employed as a collier and married Mary Williams.
William and Mary had the following children:
Matthew Cobley. Matthew died quite young, probably in his 20's.Tom Cobley.
Maggie Cobley was born Hengoed Feb 1894. Maggie was listed on the roll as a student in Maesycwmmer school from 3rd March 1903 to 24th June 1903 and also in Maesycwmmer Mixed School from 29th April 1907 to 27nd August 1909.
Bronwen Cobley was born 3rd March 1897. Bronwen was listed on the roll as a student in Maesycwmmer Mixed School from 13th June 1907 to 27th August 1909.
Sarah Cobley was born 21st November 1899.
Rose Cobley was born 29th November 1901. Rose was listed on the roll as a student in Maesycwmmer Mixed School from 24th August 1908 to 3rd September 1909.
Wyndham Cobley (my father) was born in Deri, Nr Bargoed on 29 Oct 1910.
